Update: 79-Year-Old Man Dies In Crash On Jersey Shore Road, Prosecutors Say

Police were investigating after a Jackson Township man died in a crash near a Colts Neck intersection, authorities said.

Steve Goldman, 79, was killed in the crash on Monday, Dec. 2, a Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office spokesperson said. Colts Neck police responded to the scene near the intersection of County Route 537 and New Street at around 10:27 a.m.

According to the state police fatal crash database, Goldman was driving a vehicle. Investigators haven't released any further details about what led up to the wreck as of press time.

The Monmouth County Serious Collision Analysis Response Team was helping the county prosecutor’s office and police with the investigation.
